I am Ray Deefholts, an architectural and garden designer based in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

Working alone mostly, much of my work is extensions to houses, with the occasional new house or commercial project.
 
I am a member of the Society of Architectural Illustrators and qualified by The Royal Institute of British Architects, Part 1. I have been in practice for 40 years, working for myself for the last 20.
Just as I prefer to draw architectural drawings by hand rather than by computer, I prefer to set up perspectives manually and draw or paint them by hand. Usually a water colour is the medium of choice, but other methods can be used: airbrush, crayon or felt pen sketch are all possible
An increasing interest in gardening prompted me to enrol at Brinsbury for a course on horticulture and pass the exam.
